Hey GUSS, the third annual Concordia Transitions conference is coming up and we thought it might interest many of you!
“Concordia Transitions is a one day conference dedicated urban agriculture and alternative economics where students, faculty, social entrepreneurs, local change-makers, and activists come together to share knowledge, food, and collaborate around how to build a food-system that answers directly to the needs of the Concordia University community.
Since 2014, Transitions has been the catalyst for a myriad of initiatives, projects, and campaigns towards sustainable, democratic, and resilient local food systems. Little by little, we empower students, build capacity, collaboratively shape our food system, and most importantly begin to see ourselves in it.
This year’s focus will be on Montreal initiatives specifically looking at how our urban food system influences how we continue to push for food sovereignty within our university context.”
The event is on Saturday, February 13th, 9am-5pm, H-767 and tickets are $5 and available for purchase at the CSU office and at the Concordia Transitions table in the MEZZ.
Psst. You can also volunteer and get in free +++ make lots of new pals!
Many thanks to the Concordia Food Coalition, Concordia Part-Time Faculty Association, Concordia Student Union and all the volunteers for organizing this rad event!
